Weedless Spider

Sometimes when you’re brim fishing over moss you need a semi-weedless fly to “tick” the moss on the retrieve.  The bentback spider or weedless spider is oftentimes the ticket.

Here’s a way to avoid some of the “snag ups” while brim fishing; tie your fly on a jighook.  This is a traditional wet fly tied on a 1/100 oz jighook
